A Place Where The Sun Is Silent is officially out!

For the past 8 months, I pretty much have the luxury of time to sit down and listen to my favourite songs repeatedly. On top of that, I have time to browse new bands, take time to look at Music Videos, and follow closely to the release of singles/albums, tour dates and whatnot.
And I realised...
there are people who really cannot tolerate their favoured band releasing a new album that is not what "it used to be".
You know, like the previous hardcore sounds have since gone a little mellow (I am just saying it, for a hardcore/post-hardcore band). That's usually the case, right?
AlesanaBut for me, taking Alesana for instance, it doesn't matter if they have gone a little more melodic than usual, because I don't only support/listen to their music for their music/genre. What I liked about Alesana is, they wrote all their songs in all their albums themselves. Their songs/lyrics have always been inspired by literary works/mythology. How cool is that? They constantly pushed themselves to make better album each time. Cliche, but no.
Not a clicheIn their last album, The Emptiness, they added string quartet arrangement to the interludes.
For this new album, A Place Where The Sun Is Silent, children's choirs, jazz guitars are some of the new 'works' they have added. A definite different album. Not that hardcore, but still a good listen to me because of the different textures.
DealingThen sometimes, we have bad reviews. Like...to step away from the growls. Hmm, NO WAY man? Without the growls, it's not Alesana anymore. And it's the screams and growls, and the different vocal styles of Shawn and Dennis that led me to this.

Impossible to please everyone, but, who cares. Just stick with what we think is right. We do what we are happy with , and we give what we think is best.
