National Spirit
So, the new President of Singapore has been elected.
Stayed up for the results, but omg, there was a need for recount, so I went to sleep at around 2.45AM, wanting to wake up at around 4AM.

But NO, I forgot to wake up. Didn't catch Mr Yam Ah Mee releasing the results (yes, I was waiting for this, partly.) Too tired or maybe it's the effects of the medicine I had...so I got startled and woke up at 5.45AM instead.

Okay, it's really exciting to watch all these elections thing. The preparations towards electing, the rallies, media boardcasts, up till the announcement of results.

Who says young Singaporeans are apathetic?

I have probably gotten more excited cos I'm older now (my turn to vote in the next election), understand better, and yes, under the influence of the ex-colleagues.

So, I was still working when we had the 2011 General Elections. I am surprised, really, by all the political discussions we had in office, meal times etc. We were that excited.

And, I like that my ex-colleagues (in this case, the temp staffs like myself and whom I always hung out with) were all interested in this political affair. I wouldn't say they are hardcore supporters of any political parties, but they gave concrete explanations on why they would rather support this than the other party. We also analysed the different political parties, their backgrounds, credibility and of course, their agenda for the General Elections and outlook for Singapore and Singaporeans.

I WAS AMAZED. They didn't follow parties blindly.

Maybe because they are 21 and older. More mature in their thoughts and what they observed.

Just something I have learnt through...(going to the 'outside' world)

They closed down Borders @ Wheelock.
Such a sad move. Such a pity.

Always liked that place.
Nice location.
Quite convenient.
Quite a serene place, without huge crowds.
Spacious.
Lotsa magazines! I mean a lot! I find Rocksound, Kerrang!, Alternative Press, Revolver etc. magazines there easily.

How I miss that place.
Now, tell me, where is one good bookstore other than Borders @ Parkway Parade. I hope they don't close this!

Received my Alesana merch this morning.
And guess what, it's exactly one month to ALESANA LIVE IN SINGAPORE WITH CROSSFAITH.

Stoked. Good sign.

Can't wait for 16 September 2011!

This feeling
Uhhhhhhh, watching this show now which features JUMP!, performing in their native Korea.
Omg, makes me more sad.

I cannot believe I cannot get hold of the tickets!! Precious tickets!
I promise I will get the tickets the next time they come to Singapore okay?
Kiasu mindset is indeed needed. (Don't trust the Internet too! I checked the website about once a week for the past month and there were quite a lot of spaces for the category which I was aiming to get. But it's all a different story when it comes to getting the tickets through the counter. Okay, no one to blame. Blame myself.)
I learnt my lesson.

P.S: PLEASE COME TO SINGAPORE AGAIN. SOON!!!!!

Ohyes, tonight's their last show at the Esplanade.
Omg, what is this.
Is it meant to be a clue or something hahaha.
Like, "Due to overwhelming response, JUMP! have decided to add two more shows this coming week to their full Singapore schedule. Purchase your tickets now! While stocks last!"
Okay, kidding...

Good Morning
Pretty ungodly hour, at 1.11AM.
I have been sleeping late and getting up late (that is when I don't have work/outings) ever since hmm, last year. When, my last paper ended.

Yes, I will turn the body-clock back to normal when I'm going to start school (again, zzz).
My body-clock was normal for a period of 3 months (when I was holding a proper job). You know, like waking up at 6.15AM every morning to prepare for work, and body feeling really tired and falling asleep latest by 11PM that sort.

Okay, so! Two days ago (9 August), it was National Day.
And I mentioned something like, "Oh, next year I can't watch the NDP live on TV already."
My mum said, "Watch online la."

True, can watch online. But I'm secretly hoping there is some sort of Singaporean Community- to organise some Singaporeans Get Together event on National Day itself and everyone watch the live streaming/telecast/whatever together. That would be soooooooooo nice.

And! I didn't know my friends are quite into watching NDP LIVE. Like, LIVE, at the actual venue. Otherwise I could have tried my luck in getting some tickets for this year's NDP (since I'm quite free...).
Actually, I just like the fun and ambience of being together with other red-shirts. Good opportunity to mingle with friends too.

Hopefully we get some preview tickets next year huh. I can only be back long enough to catch previews awww ewww.

Goodnight...NOT.

@12.55am
I feel like having a cup of Japanese milk now. Real Japanese milk!
And some ramen.

Maybe some matcha ice-cream.

And milk ice-cream. I mean MILK. NOT vanilla.

And end the night nicely with some Japanese talk shows/dramas/whatever.

Nosh
While others are beginning their study-life/are studying/in army, Angelyn and I met up to have some foodie session today!

We had some dessert at Coffee Club first. And that's...our main course. I like how we had dessert first. Although many times, I prefer to have main course + dessert served together (so that I can take a bite of each).
Oh yes, I don't really have a routine, or rather, I don't really like a routine when it comes to eating. I don't know why we have to have dessert after main course after appetiser y'know (fine dining). You just eat whatever you feel like eating at that moment! Life's pretty stress enough, it's agonizing if you can only have your dessert after your whatever-course it is. Spoiler.

Nutty Mud Pie

We had this Crunchy Caramel Smoothie and it doesn't taste sweet, although I thought it would (cos caramel). Maybe our dessert hindered the sweetness. Nonetheless, I like the texture of the smoothie.

Then we decided to have something spicy to clear the sweetness and headed to Porn's.

Seafood Tom Yum with Glass Noodle
(Pardon the picture. It looked dry cos we scooped the soup and drank it before we remembered to take a photo). I like the spiciness.

We had Stuffed Chicken too (forgot about the picture...).

Nice. This pretty much sums up half of my day LOL.
Otherwise, I would just be lazing at home (If you haven't already know, I LOVE to laze at home rather than to go out). Can't really stand crowds. Makes me sick. Okay, wait. It's different if it's like going out...to the vicinity (ie. East side of Singapore).
