Response to mini-beaded ice cream
Late night, can't sleep.
I am back to my nocturnal lifestyle!

--

Okay, guess what, I REMEMBERED the name of the shop which sold mini-beaded ice cream!
Actually, not that I remembered, but I saw it in PERTH.
Wait for it. It's called

MINIMELTS!

OMFG, they actually still have this over there.
Yes, and it's exactly the same as what Singapore used to have.
(By the way, the ones which were sold in the vending machines were also packaged by minimelts.)
Photo next time. Lazy to upload.

And last week, I went to Tampines Mall and was determined to keep my eyes peeled for the vending machines.
Ohyes, they don't have it there anymore.

A Place Where The Sun Is Silent
18 October 2011 (not over yet in the US of the A).
A Place Where The Sun Is Silent is officially out!

--

For the past 8 months, I pretty much have the luxury of time to sit down and listen to my favourite songs repeatedly. On top of that, I have time to browse new bands, take time to look at Music Videos, and follow closely to the release of singles/albums, tour dates and whatnot.

And I realised...
there are people who really cannot tolerate their favoured band releasing a new album that is not what "it used to be".
You know, like the previous hardcore sounds have since gone a little mellow (I am just saying it, for a hardcore/post-hardcore band). That's usually the case, right?

Alesana
But for me, taking Alesana for instance, it doesn't matter if they have gone a little more melodic than usual, because I don't only support/listen to their music for their music/genre. What I liked about Alesana is, they wrote all their songs in all their albums themselves. Their songs/lyrics have always been inspired by literary works/mythology. How cool is that? They constantly pushed themselves to make better album each time. Cliche, but no.

Not a cliche
In their last album, The Emptiness, they added string quartet arrangement to the interludes.
For this new album, A Place Where The Sun Is Silent, children's choirs, jazz guitars are some of the new 'works' they have added. A definite different album. Not that hardcore, but still a good listen to me because of the different textures.

Dealing
Then sometimes, we have bad reviews. Like...to step away from the growls. Hmm, NO WAY man? Without the growls, it's not Alesana anymore. And it's the screams and growls, and the different vocal styles of Shawn and Dennis that led me to this.

Impossible to please everyone, but, who cares. Just stick with what we think is right. We do what we are happy with , and we give what we think is best.

Drink up
Wine, beer and milk are fucking cheap in Perth. And it's quality wine, not even found in Singapore (Too expensive- our alcohol!)
In contrast, it's better to drink soft drinks/water in Singapore.

Haha.
Cheerrrrrrrrrrs!

Leave you breathless
Woohoo!
So many nice shows to keep me entertained on board.
How I Met Your Mother, Family Guy, Ninja Kids! (Japanese), Bunny Drop (Japanese) etc.

Can said to be quite happy and relaxed now.
But it's not...the next time I travel by myself there.
I don't think I'll even be interested at the entertainment list on board the next time.
Soon, I will come up with THE ULTIMATE PLAYLIST to overcome my sadness.

Steve Jobs passed away.
I think he tried his best to watch the release of the new iPhone 4S.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful gadgets.
RIP.

Mini beaded ice-cream
HAHA. So someone has the same memories as I do.
Angelyn replied, saying that there is a vending machine at Tampines Mall which used to sell that.
HAHA. I remembered, while sleeping last night.

I used to buy the ice-cream from the vending machine too. They only have 3 flavours from the machine though (chocolate, strawberry and vanilla). $2 per cup. Me gusta.

Don't know if it's still there now.

HOLY ICE-CREAM

OMG. I could handle some sweet stuffs right now.

Okay, so, I wonder if anyone reading has any idea what that is?

I wonder if anyone reading tried that before?

I wonder if anyone reading has the same memories as I do?

That's like you know...cereal. Not.

It's actually ice cream. Hmm, mini beads of ice-cream.
They used to sell it in our shops (convenient stores, Mama shops etc.). Comes in small plastic slim bottle. Lime flavoured. Then you have to shake the bottle really hard, so that the beads don't clump together.

Can't remember which company manufactured that though. Walls? Magnolia?

There is also this stand-alone shop in shopping mall(s) that specialised in selling this kind of beaded ice-cream. Can't even remember the name now (PLEASE TELL ME IF YOU DO. I JUST WANT TO RECALL.) It must have been more than 7 years ago.

I want to taste that again.
