A ghost of such an elegance
I still remember the day I found out that Alesana was gonna rock Singapore.
That was half a year ago.
I was stunned and happy beyond words, because I have been whining about them not coming for the longest time (That's because Singapore is just too big on mainstream, boo).
I yearn to see them SO MUCH.
I could not wait to see them.
Half a year flew by.
They killed our tiny city-island last Friday.
I miss them (which is an understatement).
I cannot wait to see them live again (which is still an understatement).

A strange sensation is falling over me
I wonder how all these bands survive their tours.
They travel from places to places, across the globe, through different time zones.
(Dennis: "We are from North Carolina which is at the other fucking side of Earth and we are here to destroy your city!")I FEEL like...they rarely get jetlags or whatsoever (correct me if I'm wrong).
Take an American band for instance.
If they were to travel to Asia for a tour/gig, they most likely reach here two days (max) before the gig.
I supposed they would most likely arrive in the late evening-midnight.
Goes to the bar/pub for some drinks, perhaps.
A little sleep.
Starts the next day by touring the city. Shopping, discovering.
Have more fun a.k.a drink.
A little sleep.
Starts the next day by rehearsing/soundcheck etc. Gig starts.
Gig ends. A little sleep. Travel to neighbouring country for another gig as part of their Asia Tour.
-
This is madness. I died from just one gig from Alesana's.
If I am all well and fine, I would have bought tix to Suicide Silence (which is tomorrow, and they just arrived in Singapore). Or maybe...try to win the tix!!

The tangled web of your secret fantasy
I cannot wait any longer for 'A Place Where The Sun Is Silent' to be released!

Alesana Live in Singapore with Crossfaith
So Alesana Live in Singapore with Crossfaith is over.
I'm still reflecting what had actually happened.
Okay yes! I was INDEED stoned in awe ohmygoth, that I forgot to ask if they would be going for Soundwave Festival next year. Damn me.
I love all of them (Alesana and Crossfaith).
They are really affable, nice and polite, although Wei Shan said they don't look really friendly in the photos. Haha, BUT they were that friendly.
So I said to Patrick, "Hi Patrick! Can I take a photo with you and get your autograph?"
He replied, "Oh yes, absolutely!"
Pat: *Looked at the Alesana poster I made* Oh you made this? This is awesome. Haha, this is a really nice photo (of me)!
Tatsuya was VERY FRIENDLY. All smiley all the way.
Tatsuya: *Looked at the Crossfaith poster I made* Oh woah! You made this? Nice.
Hiroki: *Hiroki came in to take a look* Woah?!
Alex was genial!
Me: Hi Alex! Can I get your autograph?
Alex: Yes, sure! *signed*
Me: Happy Birthday, Alex!
Alex: *shaking my hand earnestly* Thank you so much!
And while taking a group photo together with everyone, I was standing right behind - blocked by all the talls. Shane was just beside me and he said "Do you want me to carry you?"
OHMYGOTH. I SHOULD HAVE SAID YES.
Nope, I was stoned in awe and the photographer was like, "Hey the girl behind, I can't see you."
So I said to Shane, "It's okay! :)" and moved to the front. FUUUUUUUU.
Kazuki was just very quiet, as usual, I supposed.
But he was head-banging so much on stage haha.
Dennis was insane, perfectly usual. Hahaha.

And I lost my voice because of all that screaming. It doesn't help that I developed a cough just the day before the concert. Thank god for Cheers at Scape and Nin Jiom Herbal Candy. I ate so many of it just before the concert and throughout the concert.
I screamed too much during Alesana's cos they performed so many songs including the ones from their old albums.
Very hyped. I woke up only after about 5 hours of sleep, and quickly, developed a fever yesterday.
I feel weak all over.
--
No offense, but I love bands so much as opposed to solo artistes/ pop artistes/ whatever.
No choreographed moves.
Everything that happened on stage, happened spontaneously.
You hear the screams, the loud drum beats; You see them jump, head-bang, throw random stuffs to the audience. Just like how they drink their water on stage; Shane drank his beer on stage.
I love seeing them swing their guitars/bass across their shoulders too.
--
I don't know man.
But I always have this image in my mind-
1. Individual artistes have elaborate costumes and they change/touch up their make up god knows how many umpteen times every gig.
2. They seem to favour the elevating stage which brings them from bottom to the actual stage.
LOLOLOL. Don't like.
Oh well, personal preference.

Counting down to one day! Post No. two
Okay, I need to stop wasting time.
Need to get so many things done in preparation for tomorrow!
--
Anyway, Alex Torres tweeted "Remember that time I failed algebra? Yeah that shit doesn't matter I'm in Singapore with my band" last night.
Such an inspiration.

Counting down to one day!
I am really excited.
I think on Friday itself, I'm just gonna be anxious/scared, whatever.
The nervousness will be there! Like...the kind of anxiety I get when I go for piano exams.
(P.S: Piano exams are still my most feared exams. I trembled so much I wonder how I managed to press the keys and step on the pedals properly.)
Fangirl mood to last till this weekend!
Yes, you have never seen this sight of me.

Sanity is slowing slipping from my hands
8 September, ThursdayALMOST had a shock of my life. It was (announced) at around 11pm Singapore time, that AFI had called it quits. Woah that was bad.
So some other AFI fans told me that it was most probably a hoax, as in a hack. The style of writing, time of writing (6am U.S Time? the message was posted) and language of writing did not suit that of Havok.
Anyway, somebody posed as Davey Havok and made that online message. After about 40mins or so, it was confirmed by management that it was fake. Thank god.
You might think I am crazy to be sooooooo taken aback by the news, but, I cannot bear to see this band quit after 20 years of playing together.
And, thanks to the AFI fans who first told me that it was 100% a hoax. We stood as one. HAHAHA.
-----
This is one helluva good year.
So many bands came.
Paramore came for the second time. We also had Asking Alexandria (I missed it!), Mayday Parade, Eyes Set To Kill, Iron Maiden. Alesana, Crossfaith, Suicide Silence, Set The Goals, Children of Bodom are coming too.
How rad.
-----
I can't wait for next Friday!
I am already feeling the jitters.
...the visions inside my head...
